Petzl Ascenders (Sold As A Pair)
Description: Petzl Hand Held Ascenders. Used for self-protection or progression along a fixed rope. As an alternative to a Prussik loop, ascenders are a great way for arborists to ascend into the canopy of a tree. A single ascender can be used to climb a single line or a pair coupled together with a carabiner can be used to ascend a double line. Easily attached to rope with diameter 3/8" - 1/2", that is 8mm-13mm for those of you who don't speak metric! Each ascender is constructed with high grade stamped aluminum frame. Each cam is equipped with inclined teeth to securely grab the rope. The spring loaded cam is easily opened with the left thumb to install on the rope. The cam is also backed up with a safety catch to prevent accidental opening while in use. If you haven't tried tree climbing with ascenders now is the time to start. Specifications: Individually tested, exceed 5000lbs breaking strength, conforms to EN 567, aluminum frame, chrome steel cam, elastomere grip. Weight: 196 grams. Made in France.

Petzl Croll Chest Ascender
Description: The Croll is typically used in conjunction with another ascender (hand ascender or rope grab) on a single line ascent. Mounted to a fixed central attachment point (D-ring or loop) and a pair of shoulder straps, the Croll helps maintain your body in a near vertical position, thus increasing the efficiency of your single line ascent. Petzl Grigri
Description: The Grigri is a self-braking belay device and descender. The black handle is used to free the rope from the locked position, belaying can be controlled with your free hand gripping the rope running thru the device. The device will lock with a sudden change in inertia thus preventing a fall. Some people have used this device for work positioning as well! Constructed from anodized aluminum and stainless steel. Fits 10mm-11mm rope. Individually tested. Made in France.

Petzl Huit Descender
Description: “Huit” is Francais for “Eight”, thus, we have the Petzl figure of 8. Constructed of forged aluminum, this device allows for rappelling on single or double ropes, the bizarre shape prevents twisting of the rope and avoids the formation of a girth hitch over the device while in use. The smaller hole can also be used a belay plate for smaller ropes. Individually tested. Made in France. 35kN.
