Friction Saver 48'' Long
Description: Some of us call these cambium savers, nonetheless, these devices perform both functions. They protect the vascular cambium from rope damage caused by friction. This is especially important while climbing trees with a thin or immature bark. Additionally, they make climbing a little easier, as they reduce the friction on your line. A great choice for some of the pitchy conifers! A friction saver can also be installed from the ground right after you have placed your throwline in a suitable crotch. Each friction saver is equipped with anodized aluminum rings with a 1/2" diameter; this fat ring style reduces the internal abrasion on your climbing line.
